Synopsis
LEXI is enjoying a Halloween Murder Mystery at the community center with her family when it is cut short by a tragedy. A woman suddenly keels over and dies. It’s a traumatic experience and makes Lexi feel rather off kilter, like the world is suddenly slightly out of sync.
When the police arrive, they determine the woman died because of a simple accident. Lexi disagrees, but the police refuse to listen to her, so she makes it a personal mission find out what really happened to the poor dead woman. She starts at the dead woman’s house and discovers that the dead woman, according to her diary, had overheard a man planning a murder, and had plans to report it to the police.
That’s when BRYCE steals the diary, and Lexi turns her attention to him. She follows him home and overhears more that makes her suspicious that he had committed the murder. She follows him to the community center where he retrieves an incriminating piece of evidence.
Lexi confronts Bryce, only to have him walk right through her. That’s when all the pieces fall together, and Lexi realizes she is the woman who was murdered. She’s a ghost.
Confused and bewildered, Lexi tries to make sense of it all. Why is she still here? Where’s that bright light everyone always talks about? Can she interact with people who are still living?
Lexi goes in search of the answers to her questions and accidentally haunts a few people along the way. Frustrated, she realizes that as a ghost, there is only so much she can do. That’s when Lexi decides to make it her mission in death to stop Bryce from ever killing again.
Lexi learns that Bryce is not alone in his murder spree. He’s one half of a couple who marries and kills for insurance money. But Lexi devotes her energies to the cause, and in the end, she finds her bright light.
